End of transmission.
The time has come to turn off the transmitter and move on to new projects. We’ve had a great three years of running Xynthetic Netlabel and we’ve had opportunities to work with some amazing artists and release some great music. We also want to thank the netlabel community which has been so supportive of us and the artists we have worked with. It’s been amazing to see so many of the artists that have been involved with Xynthetic move onto bigger and better things.
We intend to keep the website and XSN releases posted for the foreseeable future. We’ve put together a strong body of work across 46 freely downloadable EPs using a Creative Commons license and we’ve been able to help act as a hub for a number of artists to reach out to each other.
Thanks go out to the entire Xynthetic family, our own families, and those from the music world (netlabel and commercial) who have helped us out and shown interest in what we’re doing. Special thanks to IRIS Distribution, Ramp Chicago, Super 6 Records, n5MD, Mochipet, Keef Baker, Mike Cadoo, Colten Williams, Sascha Müller, Nick Aitchison, Chris Peterson, Chris Stakor, the Yahoo netlabel_releases group, No Error, and specific individuals at XLR8R / INCITE.
With that, we bid you adieu.
Thanks,
Josh and Graeme
Danzai – Bad Forecast (XSN046) is released!

Xynthetic Netlabel proudly announces the release of Danzai’s latest EP ‘Bad Forecast.’ Danzai’s latest EP is three tracks of subtle, flowing Techno with touches of the Dub style that we know from his previous EP’s ‘Iceworks’ and ‘Ultima Thule.’ The beats are more upfront in these three tracks and it’s aimed more squarely at the dancefloor without sacrificing the atmospherics or density of the Danzai sound. What Danzai is offering is a sonic weather front hewn from solid Techno.

Psonikadia – Betacell (XSN045) now available!

Psonikadia graces us with his latest release ‘Betacell.’ Betacell is wall-to-wall deep electronic psychedelia in the mode that Psonikadia has perfected. This latest EP adds solid bass grooves and insistent rhythms to Psonikadia’s palette to a more visceral effect than his previous releases on Xynthetic. Betacell retains the cerebral heights of his previous work while binding it more tightly to the dancefloor.
You can find it here.
Filip Gorecki – Subaqueous (XSN044) now available for download!

We’re very proud to announce our latest release from Vancouver’s Filip Gorecki: Subaqueous. With Subaqueous Filip Gorecki takes the listener on a sonic voyage to underwater vistas and echos of deep, forgotten marine civilizations. The entire EP is a single track that moves through distinct levels and environments over its 17 minute running time. Subaqueous moves from warm shallow bays into dark, sweeping caverns of pure sonic exploration.

Scatterbattery – Being Away (XSN043) now available!

Xynthetic is proud to announce the release of Scatterbattery’s latest EP ‘Being Away.’ ‘Being Away’ rides the lines between classic Electronica and glitchy TechHouse while channeling influences like Mike Ink, Polygon Window and classic Chicago Trax into new forms of melodic hand crafted grooves. All four tracks work together, while also exploring a wide sonic terrain.

XSN041 and XSN042 now available!
Xynthetic is proud to announce the release of our latest two releases: Crackpuncher’s ‘Hate IV’ and Sascha Müller’s ‘Pure Analog & Strange Technics.’

These latest releases push the boundaries of the music that we’ve released with Xynthetic.
Crackpuncher – Hate IV (XSN041)
Very metal noise filling the air! Can you dig it? Hell yeah! 20 future Grindcore classics delivered in a crushing and compact 10 minutes… Very metal fisticuffs from Keef Baker (n5MD) and Karl Greatbatch.
Caution! Cracks punched ahead!
Sascha Müller – Pure Analog & Strange Technics (XSN042)
With his latest EP we get two sides of Sascha Müller. Pure Analog explores and elongates analog loops from vintage drum machines and monosynths without any FX or post-recording manipulation across six tracks. Filters are tweaked, 808 drum hits are modulated, all with an academic sense of purity. The result is a meditation on analog synthesis both familiar and fresh.
Strange Technics turns 180° from Pure Analog as Sascha drops some experimentation on us… it’s all about sample manipulation and FX modulation of various sources, including Scottish bagpipes and heavenly choirs.
Goodbye, Noerror, and thanks.
We just noticed that the Noerror netlabel blog is closing its doors. This is a loss to the netlabel community for sure. Noerror was the first site that we posted our very first pre-launch release at XSN001 – Xyn – L10. The reason was that they had the least restrictive criteria for considering something a netlabel release at that time… so it made sense to announce or first release there to see what would happen. What happened was several hundred downloads of L10 within a week, and that convinced us we could do something with Xynthetic. So, at this point, we’d just like to say “thanks.”
XSN039 and XSN040

We’re proud to present our latest two releases: White Digital’s ‘Axis1′ (XSN039) and Ganzfeld’s ‘Bilocation Vantages’ (XSN040).
‘Axis1′ by White Digital is a five track EP that explores sonic simulations of mental states in a classic IDM style. Subtle melodies float over bits of static and held chords and contemplative chord fields as each mental state is represented in its track.

‘Bilocation Vantages’ from offers some deep, ambient-infused sonic architecture. Ganzfeld, as the experimental-electronic project name implies, is the synchronous musical and artistic compatibility between Colten Williams of Bend, Oregon (Collothen on Xynthetic Netlabel and Decisive Sound Records) and Jeff Swearengin of Los Angeles (Sleep Clinic on Decisive Sound Records).
Original high-resolution art that is tied to the music is included in the release download.

XSN037 – Dirty Fire Project – Breaking the Robot
dFp returns to Xynthetic Netlabel with a new EP of six tracks in the unique dFp style. XSN038 – Allan Shotter – Fallen Fleet EP
Please welcome Allan Shotter to the Xynthetic netlabel family as we present his first EP under our banner: ‘Fallen Fleet.’ ‘Fallen Fleet’ features delicate and detailed rhythmic textures sliding over detuned spaces bearing subtle melodies. This is updated IDM with a deep core. Check it out here:

Other Xynthetic news:
We’ve got a number of new EPs on the horizon, including two very different releases from the gigantically prolific Sascha Müller. Look for a new Psonikadia release on the horizon… as well as a very metal release from our friends in the amazingly named Crackpuncher.
We are also planning a collaborative compilation with netlabel Kahvi Collective which will see a number of Xynthetic and Kahvi Collective artists share remixing duties.
XSN036 – Various Artists – Our Back Yard

This EP is focused on artists in our home town of Vancouver, BC. As you’d expect from Xynthetic it covers a bit of ground and mixes a variety of genres. We’ve got 10 tracks covering 80s-mode Acid House, minimalist Techno and TechHouse to Leftfield grooves and sliced and diced glitch. This is our first time really focusing on the community here and we’re very happy with the results.
